2010 J. Stanley and Doris Hill Legacy Award

ESTABLISHED to honor the memory of J. Stanley and Doris Hill for their remarkable commitment to community service, this award has been created to acknowledge an area citizen who has given a lifetime of outstanding service to his or her community.

SPONSORED by the Century College Foundation, the Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation and the White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation, this honor will be awarded to a deserving individual who demonstrates characteristics similar to those of J. Stanley and Doris Hill.

THE HILLS were extremely active in our communities. They enthusiastically embraced a strong sense of service to others while making a significant difference along the way. According to their family, education was one of Stan and Doris’ most valued efforts. As successful as Stan was in the business world, he never forgot from where he came, always giving back to his community. Individuals, families and local organizations have thrived in his wake. In addition to being involved in his community, Stan reached out beyond its borders, yet still remained “connected” to the White Bear Lake/Mahtomedi community to which he and Doris were deeply devoted.

PLEASE take the time to nominate a friend, a neighbor or a colleague for the 2010 J. Stanley and Doris Hill Legacy Award.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION on the nomination form, an award recipient’s profile, general criteria, volunteer involvement, geographical areas to be considered, the nomination process/timetable and expectations of an award recipient are included in this packet (view pdf packet).
